I’m not talking about bra size. Or Dunkin Donuts. Today I have a double D for you…a drink and a discount!
Let’s start with the drink…according to the calendar it is officially Spring, but it was 30 degrees when I walked KO this morning. I had already had my coffee (blended with coconut oil, liquid vanilla stevia and collagen) but I wanted a little something to warm up when I came in from the cold. I threw together fresh ginger, matcha, and some fresh lime, and here’s what I came up with:
I started heating water in my cute little Le Creuset tea pot. It’s bright green and makes me happy every time I look at it! While the water heated to almost boiling, I cut off a nub of fresh ginger. Maybe the size of half my thumb. I peeled it and cut it into smaller pieces. A ginger grater would make this process much easier…I really need to get one! I also added a little bit of matcha…about half a teaspoon. When the water was hot but not quite boiling I poured it over the ginger and matcha and let it steep for a good ten minutes. Then I squeezed the juice of half a lime and stirred. Tart, spicy and green all at the same time!
I love it this way, but you could totally sweeten it if you want to. I would probably use liquid stevia. Other good choices would be raw honey, coconut sugar, or even a bit of maple syrup.
If you’re not familiar with matcha, it is the finely powdered leaves of green tea. It mixes easily with hot or cold water and is even better for you than regular green tea! I wrote about matcha in my very first post: Welcome!
Not only does this drink taste warming and refreshing at the same time, it is packed with good things! The ginger is a powerful anti-inflammatory and helps boost circulation. The lime gives a nice boost of Vitamin C and other powerful anti-oxidants. And the matcha is just amazing…great for your skin, promotes calm energy, and stimulates your brain’s alpha waves, which increase focus and concentration. You can’t lose!
OK, now for the discount. You know I’ve been raving about my Annmarie Gianni Anti-Aging Serum. Here’s the post: My latest obsession. I’ve been using it consistently for a month and a half and have been thrilled with the results. Many days I just use it in the morning. It absorbs instantly and my skin feels amazing. Makeup goes on very smoothly. I have seen a reduction in the fine lines around my eyes and a general improvement in overall appearance of my skin. When I wake up in the morning I actually like looking at my skin without makeup. Not that I’m about to stop wearing makeup…makeup is fun!
This week, Annmarie Gianni is offering a 15% discount on serums. Use this link to get to the Anti-Aging Serum:

I really feel putting good things into your body is the best place to start, and the drink is doing that for you.
