Coffee is a big part of my life. It’s not just the caffeine…I’m actually pretty mindful of that. It’s the taste, the smell, the whole ritual of it.
I enjoy coffee in the am during my quiet journaling time just as much as I enjoy going out and meeting a friend at a cute coffee shop.
And coffee is not such a bad thing. It’s packed with antioxidants and studies have shown it can help with mental alertness and retention as well as athletic performance.
My favorite way to enjoy coffee is to blend with a healthy fat, like grass fed butter or coconut oil and some collagen peptides. This way I’m helping my skin, hair, nails and body while I’m getting my day started.
Since I’ve already written so many posts about this wonderful drink, I decided to revisit a few of them, in honor of National Coffee Day.
