I don’t really care about football. But I like snacks. And I like my cute Eagles shirt. Hopefully they won’t suck this year and I can actually wear it.
For those of you who actually watch football, I’ve put together a list of some happy, healthy and hot snacks. These are all gluten free, grain free, and dairy free. They fit nicely into a Paleo or Primal lifestyle. So you can have stuff that tastes great and helps you look and feel amazing.
Everybody loves guacamole, and avocados are loaded with healthy fats for gorgeous glowing skin. It’s so easy to make your own…I usually just mash up ripe avocados and add a few spoonfuls of the fresh salsa from the produce section. If you buy pre-made guac, look for the ones that are not loaded with additives. Wholly Guacamole is pretty clean.
Jicama, sugar snap peas and other cut up veggies are awesome for dipping. If you have to have chips, always look for organic corn chips. Otherwise you’re getting GMO corn.
Deviled eggs are one of my favorites, and so easy to make. Most mayo is made with highly processed, industrial oils that are not doing your body any favors. That’s why I use Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil Mayo. It’s delicious and you get all the health benefits of the avocado oil.

Soup is awesome...you can keep it warm in a crockpot and it feeds a crowd. This spicy crab soup is delicious and so easy!
This happy, healthy and hot shredded southwest chicken is one of my all time faves. It’s super easy to make in the crockpot, smells amazing, and is so much fun to use for bowls. Top it with whatever you like…salsa, diced tomatoes or red bell peppers, sliced avocado, guac…you name it. If you do dairy, shredded cheddar and sour cream would be amazing. Here’s the recipe:
