It’s the little things…

Like when the super cute nude platform dressy sandals are on clearance…in your size!  Or getting in the car and “Want You to Want Me” is the first song you hear.  Or finding the perfect non-dairy creamer that is healthy, delicious, and travels well.

Just so we’re perfectly clear, I am talking about Jason Derulo singing “Want You to Want Me.”  Not Cheap Trick.

Actually, for a coffee loving, dairy sensitive girl, the non-dairy creamer situation is a pretty big deal.

The traditional non-dairy creamers are full of crap, especially if you go with the sweet artificially flavored ones.  Seriously, please don’t!

When I’m at home, first thing in the morning I love to have my French press coffee blended with coconut oil and collagen peptides.  Which not only solves the whole dairy situation, it also gives me healthy fat and helps my skin, hair and nails.  All good.

But traveling is another story.  Or just running around during the day.  Or when you want another cup of coffee but don’t feel like breaking out the blender. Sometimes when I travel, I pack powdered coconut milk that I buy on amazon, but it is really hard to mix and stays kind of lumpy. A few weeks ago, I decided to just rough it and use the half and half at the hotel.  And I ended up with some breakouts on my chin 😦

But I have finally found a solution….Nut Pods!  Yes, Nut Pods.  Wish I knew about these sooner…they are amazing!  It is the first non-dairy creamer that has the creaminess of half and half without a bunch of crappy ingredients.  Nut Pods are free from GMOs, soy, dairy, gluten, carrageenan, sweeteners, and artificial flavors and colors.

Nutpods are unsweetened and come in three flavors:  Original, French Vanilla, and Hazelnut.  The main ingredients are almonds and coconut, along with some natural stabilizers for that creamy consistency.  They come in aseptic packaging, so they travel well.  Just be sure to refrigerate after opening!

OK, Elizabeth…how do they taste?   Amazing!  Nut Pods are not sweetened.  If you like your coffee sweet, maybe add a little stevia or coconut sugar.  (I’m going to do a post on sweeteners soon, I promise!!!)  Poured into my coffee, the Original tasted just like half and half.  The Hazelnut and Vanilla were nicely flavored, but not overpowering.  I tried them right off the spoon and felt the same way.

If you want to cut to the chase, here’s a link to order Nut Pods directly from the manufacturer.  You can get 20% off any of the 4-packs with this promo code:  liz20off

I’m not a calorie counter, but a tablespoon of Nut Pods creamer has only 10 calories.  For a small (8 ounce) cup of coffee it was enough to give it a creamy taste and consistency.

One tablespoon of Nut Pods creamer in an 8 ounce cup of coffee…yum!

You could also use the Original flavor in any recipe that calls for cream…it would be great for mashed potatoes and many sauces.   But I will mostly just use Nut Pods for their original intended use…as a healthy, non dairy creamer for my beloved coffee.

A great combo I came up with the other day…Chameleon Cold Brew in unsweetened vanilla, with a splash of Nut Pods (also unsweetened vanilla.)  So good!

So of course you are wondering…can Nut Pods help you feel happy, healthy and hot?  They sure can!  You will be happy with the convenience, especially when you’re traveling.  As far as healthy, they are free of so many controversial ingredients, and full of the goodness of almonds and coconuts.  Mixed with organic coffee, you’ll be getting healthy fats from the Nut Pods, and plenty of anti-oxidants from the coffee, both of which are supporting your gorgeous skin and body…very hot!
