and feel like a total badass.
And some mornings I realize my greens are wilted, my one remaining lemon is shriveled up, and the blender is still dirty from my coffee the day before.
And on those mornings, I reach for Organifi.
Organifi is a powdered green drink. All you need to do is stir it into some water and drink it down. No blender, no peeling a lemon or inspecting the fresh greens you bought on Monday and forgot about for a few days. (Been there!)
See, here’s the thing. Having a daily green drink helps me feel happy, healthy and hot. And while I’d love to make a fresh one every single day, sometimes that’s just not happening.
Organifi tastes wayyyyyyyy better than the drinks I typically mix up. It is surprisingly mild with a hint of mint, and is lightly sweetened with monk fruit, A scoop of Organifi contains only one gram of naturally occurring sugar and 25 calories.
I decided to try Organifi after hearing it’s creator, Drew Canole, interviewed on several podcasts I follow. I loved his enthusiasm, positive vibe and commitment to using top notch, superfood ingredients (his blue eyes and stubble aren’t bad either) so I decided to give it a try.
All of Organifi’s ingredients are organic and totally amazing.
Chlorella is a blue green algae than contains protein and polyunsaturated fats. It supports detox and healthy hormonal function. And just as exciting, it can give you younger looking skin by increasing levels of vitamins A and C, as well as glutathione.
Spirulina is another blue green algae with similar benefits to chlorella. Extremely nutrient dense, it has been used throughout history for its incredible health benefits. It is rich in vitamins A, B12, K1, K2 any many important minerals.
Moringa is native to the Himalayan mountains and parts of India and Africa. The leaves are high in many antioxidants and it is known to have an anti inflammatory effect. It also contains antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral compounds that can be helpful with many skin conditions. And to top it off, it’s been used as an aphrodisiac for thousands of years.
Mint is much more familiar than the ingredients listed above. Mint supports weight loss and digestion. It also adds a nice flavor to Organifi…seems to cut through some of the “green” taste.
Beets are one of my personal faves, but a complete pain in the ass to peel and put in the blender. Here it’s done for you. Beets contain naturally occurring nitrates, which are converted into nitric acid in the body. This in turn can improve blood flow and stamina while exercising. They support detox and are rich in vitamin C which is awesome for your skin.
Matcha is created when green tea leaves are ground into a fine powder. We already know green tea is awesome for us…matcha is even better because you are consuming the whole leaf. Matcha is an antioxidant power house that has been proven to boost metabolism and aid in weight loss.
Wheatgrass is loaded with nutrients, and said to lower free radical damage and alkalize the body. It may even protect against some forms of cancer. Wheatgrass has a very strong “green” taste, but in this mix I don’t mind it at all.
Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb that has been popular in Ayurveda for thousands of years. Adaptogens help our bodies deal with stress, and many studies have been done on Ashwagandha’s benefits. It can help to balance hormones, improve mood and energy, and may provide protection against some forms of cancer.
Turmeric is one of my faves! It is one of the most powerful herbs when it comes to preventing and even reversing disease. Turmeric’s incredible benefits have been proven in over 10,000 peer reviewed studies. It is a root with a bright yellow color and a distinctive taste. But in this blend of superfoods the taste doesn’t really stand out. Which is a good thing.
Lemon is something else I love. I’ve been starting my day with fresh lemon water for years. Lemon helps to alkalize the body and brighten the skin, and the vitamin C content supports production of new collagen.
Coconut water is a great source of potassium and electrolytes. The mild taste blends well with the other ingredients.
If you’ve been wanting to hop on the green drink bandwagon, this is a great way to go. And no need to commit to anything…you can actually get a three day supply of Organifi for free…you just pay shipping.
Can drinking Organifi help you feel happy, healthy and hot? Hell yeah! I have been doing green drinks for about ten years…they have been life changing.
You will be happy drinking a green drink that actually tastes good and is super easy to whip up. The ingredients are incredibly healthy for every cell in your body. Consuming more nutrient dense greens can give you glowing skin, more energy, and a better body. And when you are bursting with energy, with gorgeous skin and a beautiful body, you will definitely be hot!

I do wish there was a better way to prepare beets. I am not a huge fan of them and hadn’t even tried them until my husband — who is from Australia forced me to try them! to my surprise they actually weren’t that bad.

I usually end up roasting them whole and peeling them after they cool. It seems to be the easiest way, and I actually enjoy the taste. But my entire kitchen is a mess every time I do it!
