Three Ways to Style a Little Black Dress
The last time I wore this little dress was to a Poison concert in 2018!
But I’ve been trying to breathe some life into old clothes by mixing and matching and I LOVE what I came up with. A fitted tank style dress like this is incredibly versatile. This one came from Forever 21 years ago and I had fun switching things up with it.
Here are three totally different ways to style the exact same dress…enjoy!
Topped with a jean jacket this dress is perfect for a shopping trip with the girls or just running errands on a random Tuesday. I wore it with my favorite Steve Madden slip on sneakers so I can be comfortable running around all day. I have these in several colors…any of them would work with this outfit. And if you get warm, the jean jacket is super cute tied around the waist.
I felt super creative tucking the dress into a (faux) leather skirt. This works with any dress that is short and fitted and gives a whole new look. Suede booties and a long pendant give it a bit of an edge. This is going to be my new concert look (when things start opening back up!)
And finally, my favorite way to wear this versatile little dress…
Pair with my favorite lucite heels from Steve Madden and a splurge-worthy bag that gives a bright pop of color for drinks out with the girls or a festive date night. I would typically pair a dress like this with black or nude heels. (I happen to love nude shoes for the leg lengthening effect since I am 5’1’.) But the lucite heels give a fun and festive update to this classic look.
