Keeping yourself small to make others comfortable?
It’s ok to outgrow people. It happens. What’s not ok is to keep yourself small, to keep yourself from growing and expanding so you don’t make the people around you uncomfortable. So I just have one question – are you keeping yourself small to make others comfortable?
When I began focusing on improving myself in every area of my life, not everyone liked it. (Especially my husband.)
But I knew in my heart that I was doing the right thing.
If you do outgrow some people, don’t rush to fill that empty space.
Even if it feels a little lonely at first. I promise you it gets easier!
Use that space to get clear on what you want out of life. What do you want to experience? What do you want to have? The type of people you want to be surrounded by? Take some time to visualize or journal on what you want your life to look like and feel like.
Here’s what I have noticed as I’ve grown and evolved over the years (and continue to do so.)
I completely enjoy my own company and I’ve become extremely selective about who has access to my time and energy.
Even though it may have hurt at first, I realize why certain people fell by the wayside.
New and amazing people keep coming into my life now that I have made space for them.
Some of my oldest friendships have deepened and become more meaningful than ever. I’m talking childhood and college friendships. And I’m 54!
And I can say that right now I feel completely loved and supported by the small circle I surround myself with.
Don’t afraid to evolve and grow…you deserve to live a radiant life! Go get it!TheAre yo
