I’ve been feeling really motivated to come out of this quarantine looking and feeling my best, and I’m truly embracing having some extra time to workout, hike and cook healthy food.
But I know you may not have as much extra time right now. Or you might be feeling overwhelmed, and just don’t know where to start.
So I’m going to tell you five things that you can do in under a minute that will have you coming out of this quarantine looking and feeling better! Three of them are completely free, and the two others are super reasonable.
A total of FIVE MINUTES A DAY…that’s all you need. And you can really knock all this stuff out in the morning.
Are you ready? Let’s go!
STEP ONE: When your alarm goes off, before you even get out of bed, list five things you are grateful for. Can be anything at all. This takes less than a minute.
Saying them out loud is awesome, but you can do it in your head. Do this before you do anything else. Starting your day with gratitude sets the tone for everything else.
Pro tip…label the alarm in your phone so you don’t forget…I do this with all kinds of things throughout the day to stay on track.
STEP TWO: Brush your teeth with activated charcoal every morning. Just making this simple switch will whiten your teeth quickly, with no sensitivity. Because why not come out of quarantine with a prettier smile?
You’re already brushing your teeth, so this really doesn’t take any extra time. I use the charcoal tooth whitening powder from My Magic Mud…love this stuff!
Pro tip…keep a washcloth handy to wipe out your sink afterwards
STEP THREE: Do a plank. Every day.
Getting in plank position for a minute every day is a game changer. This is amazing for your entire body, and one of my all time faves for keeping my abs tight and defined.
Can’t do a minute? Just do a little every day. You’ll get there!
Pro tip: Doing this with hands resting on a Bosu is a little more comfortable and actually gives a better workout do to the instability. But don’t worry if you don’t have one. Planks are awesome regardless!
STEP FOUR: Stir some collagen peptides into your morning beverage…coffee, tea, smoothie, whatever. This just takes a few seconds and is a game changer for better skin, nails, hair and body.

STEP FIVE: Do air squats for one minute. Yes, just one minute!!! Do this every day and you’ll notice a difference. Start with feet about shoulder width apart and squat down as if you’re sitting down in a chair. Go down as low as you can comfortably go.
Just the plank and squats can make a legit difference. You just need to do it!
Pro tip: Ad resistance bands to make an even bigger difference. You probably have some gathering dust somewhere. If not, these are the ones I use and love: peach bands
