chocolate peanut butter balls that can make you prettier

December 18, 2019

These little chocolate peanut butter balls are too good not to share.

They’re super low in sugar, low carb, keto friendly and contain collagen peptides for better skin, nails and hair. They only contain three ingredients. And taste amazing.

It’s like a Reece’s Peanut Butter Cup with benefits. Doesn’t get much better!

Here’s all that you need…

Peanut butter forms the base of this recipe, but you could sub in any nut butter you like. Look for a natural brand with no sugar added and as few ingredients as possible. Nut butters contain protein and healthy fats so this is a treat that will really hold you.

Vanilla Collagen Peptides from Further Food add body, sweetness and delicious flavor to this recipe. It’s also adding even more protein, in the form of collagen that supports firm skin and stronger nails and hair. To make it even better, the Vanilla peptides contain Tremella mushroom, a mushroom that supports healthy skin. They are sweetened with monk fruit so this product is free of sugar and carbs.

I coated these little balls with super dark chocolate…my personal choice is the 90% bar from Lindt, which is easy to find just about anywhere these days. Extremely dark chocolates like this are very low in sugar. Cacao is loaded with antioxidants and is known to support healthy skin as well.

So here you go…can’t wait for you to try these!

happy healthy and hot chocolate peanut butter balls

one cup natural peanut butter

eight scoops Further Food Vanilla Collagen Peptides

three and a half ounce dark chocolate bar (I used Lindt 90%)

This is too easy! Put the peanut butter and vanilla collagen in a medium sized bowl and stir until thoroughly combined (nice little arm workout!)

Roll the mixture into little balls (mine were about an inch…I made 14 of them) and place on a parchment lined tray.

Freeze for at least an hour. While they are still in freezer melt the chocolate over very low heat.  Carefully dip the peanut butter balls in the chocolate, place back on parchment and freeze until firm.

Can be stored in fridge or freezer. They will soften up a bit if you keep them at room temp. These are delicious with a cup of smart/sexy coffee.

I’d love to hear from you…let me know if you try these!
