smart/sexy gingerbread latte

Which team are you on…pumpkin spice or gingerbread?

When I took a poll in my instastories recently, pumpkin spice was the clear winner. 

But not in my little world. I’m all about the gingerbread. And I think it’s underrated.

So the other day I threw together a gingerbread latte that knocked my warm fuzzy socks off. And it doesn’t just taste amazing, it’s amazing for you. It’s also keto, paleo and primal friendly. It’s not just any old gingerbread latte, it’s a smart/sexy gingerbread latte. Here’s what I used to make it:

Lions Mane Coffee from Four Sigmatic makes it smart. Lions Mane is said to help with focus and concentration, and I have definitely found that to be the case. I find myself more productive now that I am drinking it on a regular basis.

Collagen Peptides from Further Food make it sexy, by supporting healthier skin, nails and hair. One or two scoops a day is all it takes to make a noticeable difference.

French Vanilla creamer from nutpods gives a creamy richness. This dairy free creamer has super clean ingredients and has the same mouthfeel as half and half. 

Of course you need some gingerbread spice to give that distinctive holiday flavor. McCormick makes a blend, but I just mixed up my own since I already had all of the spices needed for gingerbread on hand (scroll down for the combo I used.)

Last but not least, I used a touch of vanilla liquid stevia from NuNaturals to sweeten this drink a bit. This is by far the best tasting brand of stevia I have come across.

Here’s the recipe…so easy and good!

smart/sexy gingerbread latte

one pack Lions Mane coffee

one scoop (or one travel pack) collagen peptides

seven ounces hot water

generous splash (about two tablespoons) of nutpods French Vanilla creamer

one half teaspoon gingerbread spice

liquid vanilla stevia to taste (I used about half a dropperful)

Carefully place all ingredients in a large mug. Combine using a frother. Enjoy!

gingerbread spice mix

two tablespoons ground allspice

two tablespoons ground cinnamon

two tablespoons ground ginger

one tablespoon ground cloves

one tablespoon ground nutmeg

Combine thoroughly and store in a sealed container.
