This magical device can reduce puffiness and give your skin a healthy glow for under $20…
you just need to use it.
I bought a jade roller years ago…before they were so trendy. And absolutely loved it. When I actually remembered to use it. Which wasn’t very often.
But recently I dusted it off (ok, washed it with my facial cleanser) and my jade roller is back in action on a regular basis. And I’m loving the results so much that I had to share it with you.
So in this post, I’m going to tell you three things:
what a jade roller can do for you
how to use it
ways to incorporate it into your routine so you actually use it, because otherwise, what’s the point?
Ok, so what can a jade roller do for you?
It can reduce facial puffiness by assisting lymphatic drainage, give your skin a healthy glow, and help your facial serum absorb into the skin so it can do its job. It may possibly help reduce wrinkles and fine lines.
And if you want to get woo woo, jade is said to be a healing stone that also protects against negative energy. Hey, I’ll take it!
How do you use a jade roller?
Basically you gently roll it on your face in an upward and outward motion after cleansing and applying serum. It’s way easier to show you than to write about it. Here’s a video that I posted on YouTube recently:
So if you’re thinking this sounds like a good idea, figure out how you’re going to fit this into your skincare routine.
You can use the jade roller any time you like. Multiple times a day if you want to. But even a few days a week (which is what I typically do) is enough to see some benefits.
First thing in the morning, after cleansing and applying a serum is a great time to do it, especially if you tend to wake up with some puffiness.
I personally do it in the evening since that when it fits best with my routine. On the nights that I don’t work, I love to curl up in bed and watch reruns of Sex and the City on Amazon Prime Video (I’m currently on Season 4.)
So I wash my face and apply my serum, then crawl in bed and then use my little jade roller while I watch my favorite show. Total win-win.
You can keep it in the fridge if you want even more cooling action. I find the jade feels cool enough without doing that, If I had to go downstairs to the fridge every time I wanted to use my jade roller it would never actually happen.
So there you have it! Happy jade rolling!
