I’ll take Matcha Madness over March Madness any day. Which still isn’t quite over even though it’s April.
Matcha is some pretty amazing stuff.
In case you’re not familiar, matcha is made from the powdered leaves of green tea. Because you’re consuming the whole leaf the benefits are even greater. Matcha is an antioxidant powerhouse that may also boost metabolism. The antioxidants in matcha can be especially helpful to our skin.
Personally, I don’t love the taste of matcha. It’s a little too grassy for me. But blending it into a creamy latte softens the grassiness and makes it taste pretty amazing.
To up my matcha game even more, I’ve been using a new product from Further Food called Mindful Matcha. It combines matcha with wheatgrass, ashwagandha, cordyceps mushroom and ginger. All of the ingredients are organic and are said to boost energy, help you stay focused, lower stress and boost metabolism. Sign me up!
Since I know you can’t wait to make this, let’s cut right to the chase…here’s the recipe:
happy, healthy and hot matcha latte
one teaspoon matcha or Mindful Matcha
one teaspoon coconut oil
8 ounces of very hot water
stevia to taste (I really like the vanilla liquid stevia from NuNaturals)
Place all ingredients in the blender, blend on high, pour into a cute mug and enjoy!
And speaking of cute mugs, how adorable is mine? It says “Be the unicorn you wish to see in the world.” It’s from my friend Jill at Deluce Design. Love her stuff.
So can my matcha latte help you feel happy, healthy and hot? Absolutely!
You’ll be happy drinking a tasty hot drink made with healthy ingredients that support healthy skin and a good metabolism. And a happy girl with gorgeous glowing skin and a fit body is always hot!
