November was a busy month…

with lots of travel.

Malibu, New York, and the Bahamas.

Which was all pretty wonderful.  And now that I’m back from this whirlwind, I’ve put together some of my best tips for feeling happy, healthy and hot when you travel.

Let’s look at three things…food, beauty, and fitness.

When it comes to food, with a little planning it can be easy to eat well and not feel like crap.  My happy, healthy and hot lifestyle follows a paleo/primal/keto template.  I focus on healthy fats, quality protein and lots of veggies.  Totally stay away from refined carbs and keep things low carb in general.

So in Malibu I had an amazing dinner with fresh fish and lots of veggies.  And a nice red blend.  A highlight of the New York trip was dinner at Morton’s that included a giant filet cooked medium rare, asparagus with butter and an amazing glass of Cab.  With food like this I never miss bread or dessert.  But I’ll make an exception on the dessert thing if something is really special…like the strawberries and whipped cream that I always get at Serendipity 3 in New York.

Breakfasts are really easy…an omelet with tons of veggies.  Or eggs and bacon with a little fruit on the side.  Just ask them not to bring the potatoes and toast.  They’re not doing anything for you!

In the Bahamas I ate some breaded conch, since I love to try local specialties.   It was delicious, but I didn’t finish it.  Had a few pieces and that was plenty.  You don’t have to eat something just because it’s there.  Pick and choose what you really want.

I do pack a few things that help me stay on track.

I take collagen peptides everywhere I go, and stir them into my coffee every single morning for firm skin, stronger nails and hair, and a fit body.  The individual packets from Further Food are super convenient, and you can always save 10% with my discount code HAPPYHEALTHYANDHOT.

Since my am routine at home includes a green drink, I usually bring some packets of Organifi, a gently powdered blend of superfoods.  Because that’s easier than hauling a blender around with me!

And lately I’ve been traveling with a multi vitamin supplement, just to cover all my bases.  I love the Primal Master Formula from Primal Blueprint, and will be posting a full review soon.  The individual packets are perfect for travel, and it is a super comprehensive formula.

When it comes to beauty products, I pack as lightly as possible, especially if it’s just for a night or two.

Something that goes everywhere with me is Alpine Pure Oil from Telluride Glow The two ounce size makes it perfect for a carry-on, and you can use it for almost anything.  I use it for makeup removal at night, as my facial serum/moisturizer, and even all over my body when I travel.  Also great for taming frizzy hair and dry cuticles.  Use my code HAPPYHEALTHYANDHOT for 10% off.

When it comes to facial sunscreen, I love SunLove by Annmarie Skincare.  It offers safe zinc oxide protection, and is lightly tinted so it doesn’t look white on your face.  The amazing oils blended into this formula are awesome for your skin.  You can get a generous sample for $5, including free shipping and $5 off your full sized purchase.

And lastly, fitness.  I am not one to use the hotel gym.  In fact, I’m not really one to use a gym these days.

So here’s how I stay in shape when I travel:

I walk a ton.  Pretty much everywhere I go.  New York is great for this, and so is the beach, but no matter where I am I will at least head out for a walk in the morning to check out the surroundings.

Most of the time I’ll do a mini workout in the hotel room before I shower.  And when I say mini, I mean it.  Maybe a few crunches and squats, or one of my fave combos…hold a plank for one minute.  Hold a bridge for one minute.  Repeat.

For more quick workout ideas, check out my Instagram account @resnickelizabeth I post one of my #assandabsallyear moves once a week, usually in the form of a quick video.

So, can these tips help you feel happy, healthy and hot when you travel?  Damn straight they can!

You’ll be happy that you are enjoying your travel and coming back feeling great.  All of these tips are designed to help you stay healthyThey can give you a gorgeous fit body and glowing skin…very hot!

    1. Hey Angela. Thanks for checking in! Yes loving the Primal Master Formula. About to run out the door…happy to send you an email tonight with more detail! Planning to do a post on it soon but I’ll get back to you with more info tonight…still do collagen religiously and take the liver capsules kind of on an “as needed” basis.
