Tropical treat from Target

October 8, 2017

Because I love alliteration.  And Target.
Seriously, where else can you buy dog toys, a bikini and a cute pair of pleather leggings all at the same time?  I have actually done this.
And while I love supporting local farmers whenever I can, you can find some pretty healthy stuff at Target.
Their frozen Alaskan sockeye salmon is amazing.  And super reasonable.
I have no problem with their grass fed ground beef.  And I love that they carry my fave Kerrygold butter,  Which will totally spoil you for any other butter.
So let me tell you about my latest little treat from Target…
Tropical smoothie eliz
this amazing tropical smoothie.  It makes me feel like I’m lounging on a beach somewhere.  Which I’ll be doing next month in the Bahamas.  Can’t wait!
So here’s what I used in the smoothie:
Simply Balanced Organic Tropical Fruit which I found in the frozen section.  Simply Balanced is one of Target’s brands.  This one is a great blend of strawberries, mango and pineapple.  Love that it is organic since strawberries tend to be heavily sprayed.  These fruits give you a nice dose of vitamin C and fiber, both of which are essential for gorgeous skin.
Coconut water with pineapple was my liquid.  I used the Vitacoco brand carried at Target and many other retailers.  Since there is actual pineapple puree in this, there are 15 grams of sugar.  But it’s also a great source of vitamin C and naturally occurring electrolytes.  And the flavor is perfect with the tropical fruit blend.
Further Food Collagen Peptides were not from Target, but I had to throw them in there.  Because I pretty much throw collagen everywhere I can these days.  Since they give me better skin, nails, hair and body it’s pretty much a no-brainer.  Even more so when you can get them at a discount with the code I have for you!

Ok, here you go…this couldn’t be easier!

happy, healthy and hot tropical smoothie
one cup Simply Balanced Organic Tropical Fruit (or similar blend)
one cup pineapple coconut water (mango would be great too!)
one scoop Further Food Collagen Peptides
Dump everything in the blender.  Blend on high.  Yum!
If you do not have a high powered blender like a Vitamix, it’s good to let the fruit sit in the blender for a few minutes to soften up a little bit.  Those frozen strawberries are like little rocks!
So can this tropical smoothie help you feel happy, healthy and hot?  It sure can!
You’ll be happy enjoying a frozen tropical treat that is made with healthy ingredients.  The collagen supports pretty skin, nails and hair and a fit body (can reduce cellulite and wrinkles!) and vitamin C helps brighten up your skin as well.  With that gorgeous skin, nails and hair and smokin’ body, you’ll be hot for sure!
