(not to be confused with “Closer” by Nick Jonas, which was also pretty good.)
I’m also loving all of the pre-washed mixed greens that are available at grocery stores lately. I’m always looking for ways to get more greens into my body, because they are so important for great skin and a healthy body.
One easy way to do that is by drinking a green drink every morning. You can either whip something up yourself or use a high quality product like Vital Proteins Collagen Beauty Greens.
But some people just don’t want to drink something green. (Like you, Robyn!) And that’s ok, there are so many other ways to eat your greens.
I’ve been buying a blend from Olivia’s Organics that contains spinach, chard, collards, kale, chicory and mustard greens. They are all baby greens. I love them because they are so versatile. Just like a pair of pleather leggings.
Lately I’ve been cooking them in a little healthy oil on stop of the stove. My two favorites, both for their health benefits and awesome flavor, are Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil and Kasandrinos Olive Oil. Use medium heat. The greens cook down very quickly. Sprinkle with a little pink Himalayan salt and you’ve got a nice little side dish. Similar to spinach but with a some attitude.
You can also make a great salad with a blend of greens. Since there will be some bitter flavors, I add fruit and nuts to balance it out.
Throw a big handful of greens in a bowl, top with some diced apple and chopped walnuts, and drizzle a little balsamic vinegar and Kasandrinos Olive Oil on top. Delicious just like that, or add some protein (chicken maybe?) and call it a meal.
Greens are a great source of Vitamins A and C, both of which are awesome for your skin. Pairing them with a healthy fat means all of the nutrients will be assimilated better. And of course you need that fat for glowing skin and shiny hair.
So get those greens in you however you like…green drink, salad or cooked as a side.
Can greens help you feel happy, healthy and hot? Hell yeah!
Just prepare them in whatever way makes you happy. I like all three. The vitamins and minerals in the greens support your overall health. And you will have gorgeous skin from the vitamins A and C…very hot!
Thanks for reading. How are you eating your greens?

Oh yum, I love greens. That combination sounds great. I have been eating a lot of salads this summer, it’s just so easy! I have the occasional whey protein shake with spinach usually and some berries, watermelon or peach, but mostly I have been eating salads.I had a greek-style salad yesterday with baby spinach, cucumber, tomato, feta and a lemony vinaigrette. I also like feta, mint and watermelon salad too.
P.S. I’m still on the lemon (or lime) water. I’ve started my partner on it too…

Oh Tanya, so glad you are loving the lemon water. I think it is such a great way to start the day. Your salads sound amazing! I love putting fruit in salad. And the lemony vinaigrette sounds delicious!
