My fave new breakfast combo…

is seaweed and eggs.

Yep, seaweed.

I can’t take credit for this idea…I saw it on Instagram and had to try it immediately.  And now I’m hooked.

I’m always talking about adding veggies to your eggs in the morning.  It’s a great way to start your day with an extra boost of vitamins and minerals.  It might be spinach, or leftover roasted veggies, or maybe just dicing up a bell pepper and throwing it in.

And all of those all good.  But sometimes you’re totally out of veggies.  Or just want something different.

Since Easter is right around the corner…

it’s a good time to address sugar cravings.

Because there is something so appealing about all of that chocolate and marshmallow wrapped up in pretty pastel colors.  I am such a sucker for seasonal packaging.

I could give you dozens of reasons why you should avoid sugar.  

But I’m going to give you just one…because it really struck home for me.

If you do nothing else this week…

buy some pre-washed organic baby spinach.

It has such a mild taste so it’s super versatile.

Spinach is a nutritional powerhouse.  It’s loaded with important minerals, including manganese, magnesium, iron and copper.  Copper is so important for your skin.  It’s also rich in vitamins A and K as well as many B vitamins.  And it’s a great source of fiber.

When you buy the pre-washed kind, it’s always ready to go.  Organic is the way to go when buying leafy greens.  And I personally prefer the baby spinach because it’s nice and tender for salads.
